Other countries already tried similar things. Sweden wants to build electric highways, and Italy tested buses on charging roads. If the Swinburne project works, it could be a big deal. Seyedmahmoudian says switching big trucks to electricity could save Australia lots of money and make transportation cleaner and safer. Here’s how it works: there are two coils, one in the road and one in the truck. This can be added to existing electric trucks.
This tech could help electric trucks travel long distances between cities without stopping for a recharge. Australia relies a lot on trucks to move things around.
